Coyles 2025 Bonspiel Another Roaring Success

The 2025 edition of the annual Coyle's Mixed Bonspiel took place Saturday March 15th and was a full event. 16 teams competed in 2 draws with 3 6 end games this year. The event had a St Patrick's day theme with all the teams decked out in green and Irish garb. A few curlers even had dyed their beards. 

After the first games completed the 2 draws had a wonderful lunch and then were back at it drawing, taking out and sweeping like mad. The first draw completed their games and had a wonderful Irish stew dinner. The later draw had their dinner after their 2nd game and then had to struggle back out on the ice with full bellies. They gave it their all though. 

The event even featured some musical entertainment with of course Irish themed songs. There were lots of auction items to be had and prizes and of course a few pints of Guinness and Kilkenny. 

Thanks to bonspiel organizer John Shaw and his helpers, the volunteers who made the lunch and dinner, our bartenders and of course our Ice Maker extraodinaire, Mike Moloney who had the ice in top notch condition. 

Special congratulations to Team Fitzgerald and Team Kuth who both went 3-0 and won their respective draws.

Team Wood and Team Hanes were looking sharp and won best dressed in their respective draws. Well done!!!
