Getting the Most from the LCC Website

The curling club acquired the Curling Manager website software to help manage the club’s operations and provide a communication platform for the club and its members. This software is purpose built for curling clubs and has many great features. This article is to help our members make the most of the website. 


All members of the club will have had a userid and password setup to allow them to log into the club website. If you cannot remember your id and/or password you can recover them by selecting the Login menu item and then using the ‘Forgot your Username?’ or ‘Forgot your Password?’ links on on the Member Login page. If you change your password remember to use a strong password. 


To log in to the website and access member specific information, select the Login menu item at the top of the page. Enter your username and password and click the Login button. After logging in, the menu items and pages accessible change to allow you to access specific member only items.The ‘Member Dashboard’ page should be displayed which has club and member specific information. From the ‘‘Member Dashboard’ you will be able to view Club Notices, your upcoming games, upcoming club events and Recent Emails sent out to all club members and the various leagues. The Recent Emails contain emails from the previous 30 days. You may review the emails from this page or in your email program. 


If you have not received club emails in your email program, then this may be because the emails are being blocked by your email program or internet provider. For Nexicom users, follow the process here https://kb.nexicom.net/nexicom-email-protection/ and add emailer@curlingmanager.com to your whitelist. For members using other email programs and who are not receiving club emails, add the curlingclubmanger email address to your contact/address list to prevent it from going to your spam. Other member specific information is available from the Member menu after you log in. You can update your profile, change your password, review your teams and leagues, review the members directory/roster, update your spare information, look for spares and more. You can check and update your profile by selecting the My Profile option. Review each tab. If you wish to share your email address with other members via the website and club directories then make sure that the 'Share Email' option is checked in the 'Membership Info' tab. If you wish to spare in other leagues then update your spare information from the Member menu > Your Profile > Spare/Substitute Details. Update this information as required and keep it up to date. This will allow other members who are looking for a spare to find you. 


If you need a spare then Login to the website and use either ‘‘Our Leagues > Find Spares/Subs’ or ‘Members > Updates > FInd Spares/Subs’ to find and contact members who can spare for you.  You can also post a spare request which will then be displayed under 'Request for Spares'. The website does have other information about our leagues, events, news items and more. It is also designed to function on all devices - laptops, tablets and phones. If you have other responsibilities at the club, such as running a league, then you may have additional privileges and options available to you after you login. Spend some time exploring and becoming familiar with the website. New information will be added when required so check the website frequently. Using the website and keeping your information up to date will help the club and all members get the most from our club and curling.
