Winter Warm-Up Doubles Bonspiel

The first running of this event took place on Saturday November 4th 2023.

We had 12 enthusiastic teams enter the first running of this event and wow what a day! Teams played a 3-game total points spiel, competition was so great that top 6 teams were separated by 1pt, all having two wins and one loss.

We had an official Sponsor for this event, the Evening Competitive Division, and all in attendance would like to thank Jeanette Wood & Associates from RE/MAX Eastern Reality Inc., Brokerage for helping us with the meals for the day, thank you Jeanette! Our Day Ladies Division provided us with a great meat pie and garden salad lunch with an apple crisp desert and Jacqui Turner Catering for providing a baked pasta and caesar salad supper with wildberry crumble desert.

We would also like to thank Mike and Roger for providing us good curling ice, our Club Manager and Board of Directors for providing us with such a great facility to host the inaugural running of this event.

We are blessed to have a great team of volunteers at our club and on our Executive and within the Division, without them none of this would be possible – many hands make it look so easy, thank you to our registration and scorekeeping team, the bartenders also for made the day a success!

Overall winners of the day where all in attendance... but the folks who took home prize money where Teams comprised of Barbie McKee and Kim Pirie aka “Team McKrie”, John Davis and Heather Douglas aka “Team Daviglas”, Mike Moloney and Jennifer Faria aka “Team Moloria” and Rob and Lou Anne Hanes aka “Team Hanes”.
